You have a website and it is helping promote your Las Vegas business and your products and services and finding new customers. You want to sell more through your website, but how do you properly test the messaging and copy writing on your website in order for you to know how it is performing and if in fact it is causing a visitor to take action?
Internet Marketers talk a lot about testing your sales copy on your website, but very few discuss details about the methodology of testing. It is easy to get confused and potentially remove changes that were helping increasing sales on your website.
Back in college, I took a Chemistry class where we did a fair amount of experiments and our professor was a stickler for teaching us the proper way to perform our experiments. One day, we were give a series of experiments to perform and he stressed the importance of testing. When performing an experiment there are many things you want to change one step at a time in order to perform the experiment properly. As an impatient teenager who was waiting for class to be over, it was an interesting learning experience.
Our professor would say, “In order to properly perform this experiment you need to make one change at a time and then measure the results of that change. Then, will you know which change performs the best and gives you the desired results. You could make all the changes all at once, but what if you undo the change that works?”
His words came back to me when I started my Internet Marketing years ago. If I am making copy changes to my websites or sales copy to monitor the conversion rate then I need to make one major change at a time, drive a sufficient amount of traffic to it, and then analyze the results. If the response rate and conversion rate increases, then I keep the change. If it decreases, then I discard the change and try another.
By performing web site testing in this fashion, you will know exactly which changes best affect your conversion rates and be able to build upon them in order to gain the highest possible conversion rate for your site.

Reciprocal Link Exchange - Increase Traffic to Your Website
Implementing a Reciprocal Link Exchange program for your Las Vegas website can still be very beneficial to your website ranking and gaining traffic.
To start, a Reciprocal Link Campaign means placing links on other people’s websites to your and vice versa on what is usually called a “Links” page on a website. It is easier to acquire reciprocal links vs. just one-way links. If your Las Vegas website holds valuable information, it is likely other webmasters will accept a reciprocal link invitation to help cross-promote your website out on the internet. You display a link to their website and they’ll add a reciprocal link from their website back to yours.
Credibility is important. Try to not link to other websites that are poorly designed, have no valuable information or websites of an unrelated topic or an annoying link farm website. When Google spiders your website, it will assign a value to reciprocal links that it deems relevant. Websites containing similar keywords and content will be viewed as related and relevant web sites, and will thus count towards gaining credibility for your website.
Organize a Reciprocal Link Campaign for Your Website
Start by doing some research out on the internet to find websites that you may want to exchange links with. Try to pick complimentary (but not competitive) websites that have a google page rank equal to or higher than your website. Email the webmaster of the website you’d like to exchange links with and explain the benefits of exchanging links and see if they are open to the Link Exchange.
To make it easier for the webmaster you’re requesting a reciprocal link from, include the actual piece of code they would need to insert on their website that would link back to yours. Make sure the actual link you provide has relevant keywords that would link back to your website. For example, if you are a Las Vegas florist, the link title you would provide to the webmaster might read “Las Vegas florist.” The keywords as part of the link help your google page ranking.
Remember, google still partially factors links back to your website into its search engine ranking criteria, so anything you can do to help your website’s ranking on google will help!

Search engine optimization or SEO is a set of tactics you do to your Las Vegas web site so that search engines will rank it higher in their results for your keywords.
The reason we use SEO is so that more people will find your web site. This is known as visibility.
Being ranked highly, especially with placement on the first page, means you will get more targeted traffic to your web site. Targeted traffic is the term for web site visitors that are interested in the content of your site and/or the things you sell.
One of the first SEO tactics you should know about is choosing your keywords. A keyword is a word or group of words that people would think of when they are looking for information that your site provides, a word or phrase that you might type into a google search for example. - optimizing META tags on your website
- optimizing html page names
- adding a sitemap page to your website that is rich in keywords
- adding your website link to top search engines and directories
- back links -having your web site link appear on other web sites
- key word suggestion tool - to help determine what key words your customers are already searching for
- reciprocal link checker tool - which checks to see if people you have exchanged links with really do have your link on their site.

So you have a blog that you write regularly to and hope that interested readers will find your blog. Well they won’t unless you somehow get the content from your blog syndicated. And like I always say, if you’re not syndicating the content from your blog and helping to promote it, your competitors surely are.
