Okay, so you have made the decision to consider attending a trade show, but your are a bit nervous.  Now you have to have design a trade show booth and I’m sure you’re a bit nervous.

Don’t panic.  You already have a key component in putting together a trade show booth for your Las Vegas business: your company.  You just have to come up with a consistent and branded design for your booth.

Let’s start with with the fact that you have a corporate logo and business cards and letterhead already for your Las Vegas business.  Most often, companies will use the same corporate colors and many of the same graphics they use in their logo and marketing materials for the basis of their trade show booth signage and design.  These are critical components to a great trade show booth  for your business because you want the booth to be consistent with the branding of your Las Vegas business or company.

Color is key.  You want to reel potential customers in, and one of the simplest ways to do this is to have an inviting colors on your signage on the trade show floor.  You really want to keep the colors balanced and consistent for aesthetic appeal.  If your logo is primarily blue, then go all out and use complimentary colors that enhance your logo. Keep in mind that bright and exciting colors are attractive trade show booth designs because they most likely embody excitement and energy.

What should you do if your colors are less bold?  Well, these can be great, too…  especially when everyone else’s trade show booths are shouting too MUCH color.  

With simple spotlights highlighting the visual panels of the booth and a little colorfulness carefully desinged in front of your booth, along with a matching carpet of pale gray and a couple of simple chairs, your booth could really stand out and people will notice that it is different.

This is another way to have an effective and attractive trade show booth design!  Find out what your competition is up to then do something different!  This is an excellent strategy to compel potential customer to your trade show booth so that you will stand out and they will come to you booth and inquire about exactly what your Las Vegas business is doing.  

Once you reel people over to your company’s trade show booth, you want to be sure they have a reason to stay around and this is where your staffing is key. Make sure you have knowledgeable, cheerful, who enjoy interacting with the public and who know your company’s products and services in and out. So make sure your trade show booth staff is as appealing as the the booth design itself!

Different colors carry different psychological meanings and impacts. They can affect your mind and the way you think and feel. 

With this in mind, you should choose the color for your logo, website and all of your marketing materials carefully. It has been my experience in Las Vegas that most small business and even medium-sized companies clearly don’t take this into account. In doing so, you’ll be able to keep ahead of your competition and look more professional and polished and you’ll be able to narrow down your choices for color much more easily.

So what do colors mean, both positively and negatively?

A logo can make or break your new business.

A logo is most often the single most identifiable representation of your business and in Las Vegas, creditiblity is key. Your logo appears on your business cards, stationery, letterhead, envelopes, forms, collateral, website, email signature, maybe even on trucks and signage. It represents everything your company stands for, the tone, your products and services, your professionalism.

Many smaller companies make the mistake of not having a solid professionally designed logo for their business. Or worse, they use different logos for different marketing materials, or change the colors, fonts, styles, and more. This creates an inconsistent image in your customer’s and potential customer’s minds. It detracts from your professional identity. 

With this in mind, you should ask yourself the following when evaluating your current company logo:

• Is your logo professionally designed and used consistently across any and all marketing materials?
• Does the look and feel of your logo represent your company in the best possible manner?
• Do you feel that your logo separates you from your competition?
• Does your logo provide that invaluable “first impression”?
