Affiliate Marketing Resources for Your Las Vegas Website

Posted on 03 June 2009

Affiliate marketing can not only help you provide more services and benefits to customers visiting your Las Vegas website, but it can also help bring your business a residual income.

What is Affiliate Marketing?

It is a web/internet based marketing strategy where by placing links or banners to other company’s products and services on your website, if your website visitor clicks on a link to an affiliate website and that visitor makes a purchase, you receive a commission.

For example, let’s say you own a plumbing business in Las Vegas. On your website, you might sign up with affiliate websites to sell related products and services that you don’t offer.  Like, plungers, spare parts, wet vacs or bathroom and kitchen cleaning supplies. While on your plumbing website, your visitors sees a link or banner ad to purchase a plunger online. They click on it, go to another website and purchase that plunger.

Through an affiliate tracking code embedded into the link that visitor clicked on to buy the plunger, your affiliate account is credited with that sale. When your credit commission reaches a specific limit, that plunger company will mail you a commission check.

That’s it. So if this sounds like it might be a good strategy for your business website, you should investigate what affiliate marketing opportunities exist for your business and website.
